Carrie Evans Wilson is a partner in Montgomery McCracken’s Litigation Department and co-chair of the Higher Education Practice. Focusing her practice on the Title IX space, Carrie leads investigations into sexual misconduct, harassment, discrimination, fraud, and more. She collaborates with clients to navigate ever-changing regulations and offers her expertise as an external adjudicator, advisor, and appellate reviewer.
In addition to her Title IX work, Carrie has significant experience in civil litigation and in the handling of sexual misconduct matters. Drawing on her background in criminal law and civil litigation, Carrie approaches her work with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all parties are treated with dignity and respect. Her clients include public and private schools, universities, healthcare organizations, and corporations.
Carrie is an approved investigator by United Educators. She is also certified by the State University of New York’s (SUNY) Student Conduct Institute (SCI) and provides Title IX annual compliance and investigator training.
Carrie is also a sought-after presenter, addressing legal professionals, educators, and business leaders on topics such as Title IX, federal protections for pregnant workers, and legal writing.
Before entering private practice, Carrie served as a public defender for the Defender Association of Philadelphia and then the County of Lancaster Office of the Public Defender. She began her career as a law clerk for Judge Stengel in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Carrie earned her law degree from Cornell Law School and her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Middlebury College.
