Marc J. Phillips is a partner in Montgomery McCracken’s Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring Department. He focuses his practice on bankruptcy and corporate reorganization as well as the representation of companies in civil litigation and complex commercial litigation.
Marc has more than a decade of experience representing a wide variety of clients in large and complex Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 corporate bankruptcy proceedings, including debtors, unsecured creditors, lenders, landlords, equipment lessors, trade creditors, directors and officers, intellectual property licensors and licensees, insurance carriers, municipal taxing authorities, utilities, asset purchasers, bondholders, note holders, trustees and committees. Marc also represents secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy preference and fraudulent transfer litigation.
Marc is a certified mediator for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and listed on the Court’s Register of Mediators and Arbitrators.
Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, Marc was an attorney at a large international law firm. Prior to his legal career, Marc played professional baseball within the Kansas City Royals organization for several years.
Marc received his J.D. from Widener University School of Law. He earned his B.A. degree from Virginia Military Institute.
