In the wake of government edicts and orders around the world, including Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf’s March 19 executive order closing nonlife sustaining businesses and restricting access to business premises, many Pennsylvania businesses are sustaining huge losses.

Business owners are submitting claims for business interruption insurance losses, but many insurance companies’ knee-jerk reaction is to deny. This has led to a proliferation of lawsuits.
