Montgomery McCracken Creates Innovative Litigation Counseling Program for Clients

Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce the launch of a new litigation counseling program, to be offered to firm clients on a complimentary basis. The new program will be conducted by The Honorable Joel B. Rosen, United States Magistrate Judge (District of New Jersey) (retired), who will be available to provide the firm’s clients with counseling and strategic advice in all areas of litigation including discovery, motion practice and trial preparation, ADR (mediation and arbitration), settlement strategies, and jury selection and trial strategies as well as the overall judicial process. The firm has created this program to remain focused on being a leader in client service.

Rosen will maintain his mediation practice at the firm.
During his 20 year judicial career, Rosen presided over numerous civil jury and bench trials as well as criminal misdemeanor trials. Since joining Montgomery McCracken in 2010, Rosen has mediated thousands of cases. Rosen has served as a Special Master in both state and federal courts in matters involving mass torts, environmental issues, insurance coverage disputes, as well as a variety of class actions. He also has a broad knowledge of criminal process and procedure in both the federal and state venues.
Rosen served as an assistant United States attorney and was the Attorney-in-Charge of the United States Attorney’s Office in Camden, New Jersey. During his tenure, he received several commendations from the Department of Justice for his efforts in connection with prosecutions involving organized crime and political corruption. Rosen is also a former deputy attorney general in the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice where he was chief of the Special Prosecutions Section. Prior to his judicial career and serving as a deputy attorney general, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mitchell H. Cohen, Chief Judge, United States District Court, District of New Jersey. Most recently, Rosen served as Chair of the Disciplinary Oversight Committee of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
