A litigator who joined Montgomery McCracken’s Philadelphia office in 2020 has been selected co-chair of the firm, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the firm’s more than 100-year history.
Ashley R. Lynam was named co-chair of Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads LLP last week by the executive committee, the firm said Monday. Lynam will share the leadership role with co-chair Louis Petroni.
“I am so moved that the firm has sent a strong message that they believe in me and are deeply committed to me,” Lynam told Law360 Pulse in an interview Tuesday. “I am overjoyed.”
Lynam’s selection as co-chair is a culmination of her involvement in the firm’s administration for the past 2 ½ years. She has previously chaired Montgomery McCracken’s sexual misconduct liability practice group and the institutional response practice group and has co-chaired the higher education and digital crisis management practice groups. Lynam has also served on the firm’s management and executive committees.
