Philadelphia, PA – October 22, 2010 – Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP partner and Intellectual Property practice group chair, Evelyn McConathy has been awarded the 2010 American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Project Award. McConathy is being recognized for her outstanding service to the AIPLA, particularly regarding her commitment to the 2010 World Intellectual Property Day. The award presentation was held on Thursday, October 21 at the organization’s National Meeting in Washington, D.C.
The AIPLA is a national bar association comprised of approximately 16,000 members, including individuals, companies, and institutions involved in various law practices related to intellectual property. Members represent owners as well as consumers of intellectual property – all of which are dedicated to maintaining a robust and efficient intellectual property system.
McConathy has extensive experience in patent litigation, prosecution, and counseling for patent, trademark and copyright matters. McConathy’s representative clients have included the University of Pennsylvania, CorCell, and the National Constitution Center. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, District of Columbia, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. District Courts, including the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, as well as the Patent Bar.
